We make it our mission to spark imaginative learning ... We Spark Children's Imaginations! Mad science is the leading science enrichment provider for children in Preschool through 6th Grade.  Our programming has reached all across Iowa!  We are proud to say we will complete our 10th year of operations in May 2014.

We deliver unique, hands-on science experiences to children.  We can do this in a themed format, or with a wide variety of science topics. We can also include Make-&-Takes the children take home.  Children simply love these, and parents greatly appreciate them!

Our programs are divided into 6 main categories:

• Special Events:  Shows/Assemblies, Science/Family Nights, Booths, other
• Enrichment After-school programs
• Camps and Funshops for Summer and other school breaks
• Workshops and Grade-Focused Events during the school year
• Preschool programs
• Birthday parties

All our programs are delivered by well-prepared instructors with a science and/or teaching background, equipped with awe-inspiring gear! WE COME TO YOU, OR TO A 3RD PARTY LOCATION OF YOUR CHOICE!!

Our Purpose-for-Being Mission

We have a mission, a purpose for being, and we are serious about it.  Here it is:

"We aim to spark the imagination and curiosity of all children in central Iowa, and anywhere else we travel, by providing them with educational, entertaining and fun activities instilling a clear understanding of what science is really all about, and how it affects the worlds around them."  In fulfillment of this, we are equally intent on delivering:

• factual, state-of-the-discipline science information
• contemporary real-world examples of the science applications
• safety messages for the proper execution of experiments
• an instructor who is there for the children ... someone who is empathetic, respectful, and worth of being role-modeled
• an exciting, energetic and animated program from the instructor

Science is a key foundation element to technological development.  Technology is the basis for opportunities to enriching and well-paying jobs and careers.  Science and technology are expanding at increasingly faster rates almost every year, and the costs of staying abreast of this rapid expansion grow as well.  This all puts us in a position of having a society increasingly at risk of becoming one of more-and-more "haves" and "have nots".  Consider assisting Mad Science of Iowa in our efforts to moderate this increasingly important social issue.

You may have notice we use in our purpose statement above, the word "all".  We realize that is quite a statement to make, and that we cannot accomplish this without assistance.  We are interested in creating relationships with corporations, foundations or others who might be interested in helping us bring our programming to less well-off schools, organizations, and families, or those with special circumstances.
